A brief overview of the Administration of Faculty Affairs

This administration is related to teaching staff at the university. It takes the necessary measures to minimize the difficulties facing their work so that they can perform their educational and research tasks to the fullest extent. This administration practices its tasks through the following offices:

Faculty Affairs Office


The most important tasks of this office are:

1. Carrying out the affairs of national staff members, overcoming the difficulties they face, and proposing the foundations and controls for how they can carry out their duties and responsibilities at the university.

2. Follow up the scientific activities of national staff members, prepare reports on the studies and research they conduct, and complete their evaluation procedures.

3. Organizing the participation of national staff members in academic  seminars and conferences at home and abroad.

4. Responsible for hiring national staff members from outside the university in teaching and training work.

5. Preparing cadre for staff members. 

6. Maintaining the main files of staff members and all matters related to them, while opening a sub-file for the colleges.

Office of Non-National Faculty Affairs

The most important tasks of the office are:

1. Taking over the affairs of contracts for non-national staff and the procedures for concluding them, evaluating the conditions of practical and educational issues and preparing the necessary reports on them.
2. Assistance in taking measures to invite, receive, stay and bid farewell to visiting professors and examiners to facilitate the task of performing their academic tasks.

3. Follow up the academic activities of non-Libyan teaching staff and prepare reports on studies and research conducted and evaluated.  

4. Organizing the participation of non-national university staff in academic seminars and conferences at home and abroad.  

5. Assuming the assistance of non-national university staff from outside the university in teaching and training works.

6. Maintaining the main files of non-national teaching staff from outside the university in teaching and training work   

Teaching Staff Housing Office


The most important tasks of the office are:

1. Providing and equipping appropriate housing for teaching staff to enable them to settle in and create a scientific atmosphere suitable for research.

2. Receiving teaching staff in university housing and enabling them to reside there in accordance with the controls determined by the University’s People’s Committee.

3. Supervising university housing, following up maintenance work, and informing the university’s competent authority of any defect or malfunction for repair.

4. Preparing the necessary studies and programs that would provide the necessary housing for the staff.

5. Contacting the competent authorities and coordinating with them regarding obtaining pieces of land or housing for distribution to teaching staff in accordance with controls and conditions determined by the University’s People’s Committee.
