A brief overview of the Directorate of Technical Affairs and Projects

The Directorate of Technical Affairs and Projects is considered as one of the main administrations at the university. It has domains and offices according to the resolution No. (22) of 2008 concerning the regulatory structure of universities and higher education institutions based on the Article (26) explanation, as follows:

First: Domain Tasks


The Technical Affairs and Project administration is responsible for all works related to technical affairs, supervising the implementation of university projects, providing technical opinions and advice, and practicing its powers through its offices and units.

Second: Offices

Technical Affairs Office:

It is specialized in the following:

1. Participate in preparing the university’s transformation budget.

2. Participate in studying the university’s needs for scientific devices and equipment and preparing regarding reports.

3. Providing opinions and technical advice to the university.

4. Carrying out maintenance and technical services for all the university’s various facilities, equipment, operation, building maintenance and registration.

5. Establishing and organizing the university’s gardens and supervising gardening work to ensure the appropriate aesthetic appearance of the university.

6. Supervising animal homes and providing the necessary nutrition in coordination with the relevant scientific departments.

Projects Office

It is specialized in the following:

1. Proposing project plans for the university and its colleges and following up their implementation and assessment.

2. Participation in preparing the university’s transformation budget.

3. Preparing designs, maps and technical studies related to university projects.

4. Supervising higher education projects at the university.

5. Providing opinions and technical advice to the university regarding the projects proposed and being implemented at the university.

In view of the requirements of the work and in order to provide the best, two units have been created:

Maintenance Unit

The University Council issued the Resolution No. (01) of (2023) regarding the establishment of the Rapid Maintenance Unit. This unit is specialized in performing rapid maintenance for all university facilities within a technical staff specialized in several specializations such as plumbing, air conditioning, and electricity and others.

Comprehensive Design Unit

The President of the University issued the Resolution No. (97) of 2023 regarding establishment of the Comprehensive Design Unit. This unit is specialized in implementing the right of access for persons with disabilities in all projects to be constructed, as well as when carrying out maintenance and modifications for university buildings.
