• It is established upon the resolution issued by the University President No. 209 of 2013, and it was approved by the regulatory structure in 2015 under a name: Information Technology Center.
• Later on, it was re-named and approved to become: Information and Documentation Center in Libyan universities according to a resolution issued by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 277 of 2021.

Center Tasks
- icon Managing the university’s website and email.
- icon Save programs and data, organize and classify files and programs for the server, and perform periodic backups of programs and systems.
- icon Supervising the university’s devices, networks, and databases.
- icon Qualifying the human cadres necessary to manage and maintain devices, the network, and databases.
- icon Follow up securing communications systems and provide an integrated and advanced computer network at the university in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- icon Study, evaluate, and develop proposals for the hardware and software required by the university’s work.
- icon Establishing the necessary specifications and standards to optimally exploit hardware and software.
