Brief Summary of Postgraduate Studies Administration

This administration is responsible for preparing and implementing graduate studies plans at the university for teaching members, teaching assistants, employees, or others working in various departments within the university’s circle. It is also responsible for taking the necessary measures regarding the delegating of teaching members and teaching assistants affiliated with the university to study graduate studies abroad. The administration acts its powers through the following offices:

Office of Graduate Studies


The most important tasks of this office:

1. Receiving nominations from various departments - including the relevant organizational divisions of the university - for the purposes of post graduate study to be classified.

2. List and specify the fields of open graduate study within the country and the numbers that can be directed to them.

3. Participate in conducting the necessary research and studies to determine the possibility of creating new specializations for post graduate study and developing the existing ones.

4. Preparing plans and programs for postgraduate studies inside and supervising their implementation.

5. Preparing the draft budget project necessary to implement plans and programs for postgraduate studies at home and following up their approval and implementation.

6. Receiving follow-up reports on the implementation of graduate studies plans and programs at home, studying and analyzing them, and taking the necessary measures to demonstrate the difficulties and problems facing implementation.

7. Checking and studying requests to extend postgraduate study at home, suggesting the necessary procedures related to extension or termination, and guarantee return students to begin their work in the position which they belong and submit them to the University Council.

8. Participating in seminars and academic forums related to the office’s activities at home and abroad.

9. Preparing periodic and annual follow-up reports on the office’s activity.

10. Participation in the work of committees and teams related to the office’s activities.

Scholarship Office

The most important tasks of the office are:

1. Receiving nominations from various departments, including the relevant organizational divisions at the university for postgraduate studies abroad, classifying and tabulating them.

2. Preparing plans and programs for graduate studies abroad, taking procedures for approving them, and following up their implementation in coordination with the competent authorities.

3. Preparing the draft budget project necessary to implement plans and programs for graduate studies abroad and following up their approval.

4. Receiving the follow-up reports on the implementation of plans and programs for graduate studies abroad, studying and analyzing them, and taking the necessary measures to tackle the implementation difficulties and problems.

5. Coordinating with the competent authorities regarding students sent for postgraduate study abroad and expressing an opinion on checking and studying extension requests, scholarships, or termination the scholarship and guarantee their returns to work in the department to which he/she is affiliated.

6. Participation in seminars, and academic forums related to the office’s activities at home and abroad.

7. Preparing periodic and annual follow- up reports on the office’s activity.

8. Participation in the work of committees and teams related to the office’s activities

Training Office


The most important tasks of the office are:

1. Contributing to the development of draft plans and training programs that the university intends to implement.

2. Participate in setting timetables for implementing the annual plan in coordination with the relevant organizational divisions of the university. 

3. Taking the necessary arrangements to open and host training programs according to the university’s approved plan and preparing lecture schedules for the teaching members and trainers.
