General Information

  AlKhoms city is located in the northwestern part of Libya, embracing the amazing Mediterranean coast. It is about 60 miles (97 km) southeast of Tripoli, the capital city of Libya, with an estimated population of around 250,000. Modern economic activities in Alkhoms include; tuna processing, cement manufacturing, and trading in dates and olive oil produced in the surrounding areas. Alkhoms also has a very busy commercial port. The city has some public parks, Turkish buildings, and beautiful beaches. It lies on the coastal highway that connects the west part of the country with east.
  Leptis Magna is one of the most attractive historical places in Libya, and it has deservedly earned a reputation of having the most complete and impressive Roman ruins in the entire North Africa. The museum of Leptis Magna is a smaller version of the National museum in Tripoli. It’s rich in exhibits and contents, beautifully laid out, and well organized. Leptis Magna has been registered to the UNESCO World Heritage as one of historical places in Libya protected by UNESCO. During the event, tours will be organized to the magnificent city of Leptis Magna where you can wander in its streets, contemplate with its breath-taking monuments, and relive its roman era.
